I'm creating a Bestiary for my final project. It showcases a legendary creature or being from A-Z.

This is a Lightning Bird, or Impundulu (maybe I should have made this letter I? Naaaa) a supernatural south African bird. letter "L" for my book.

Nice rendition.


The Lightning Bird (Impundulu) is African vampire fable known across the southern and western regions of the continent. It is the mythos of the actual Hamerkop bird. (I would have gone with "I" for Impundulu though.)


I wrote a short story about the mythos called Hamerkop, and I will be releasing it on my website for Halloween 2021.
